Financial Accountant – Swellendam
Job Description
Our client is looking for a motivated Financial Accountant to join our dynamic team in Swellendam. This position offers an exciting opportunity to further develop your career in a professional accounting environment that values excellence, integrity, and teamwork.
Qualifications & Experience:
- A relevant degree in Financial Accounting
- Completed SAIPA or SAICA articles
- 2–3 years’ experience in preparing financial statements
- Proficiency (CaseWare Working Papers, MS Excel, Xero, Sage, GreatSoft)
- Strong Numerical skills
- Experience with SARS eFilling for (EMP201, VAT 201, ITR12/ITR14)
- Strong communication skills and a professional work ethic
- Ability to work independently and accurately
- Previous experience in an accounting practice will be considered an advantage
- Technical knowledge of IFRS for SME and African Tax legislation will be advantageous.
Key Areas;
- Financial reporting and record-keeping
- Preparing of Key financial statements
- Ensuring financial records are up to date
- Prepare and file Tax returns to ensure compliance
- Analyse financial data
- Assisting with budget preparations and monitor budget vs actual performance
- Forecast cost and revenue to help with future financial planning
